Statement from the City Club
The City Club of Cleveland stands unequivocally against terrorism and condemns in the most forceful terms the brutal attack by Hamas on the people of Israel.
Terrorism is the enemy of democracy.
Our hearts are broken for the lives lost, the children orphaned, and the families traumatized in Israel and Gaza.
We will continue to support members of our local communities--our neighbors, friends, and loved ones--who are scared and grieving, reeling from these horrific events and actions.
And we will continue to work where we believe we can be most helpful--in convening dialogue that helps our community better understand the issues and events that are unfolding so all of us can better understand the role we play in shaping our world.
